The first sunshine after a long time of darkness is a feeling of warmth that will overcome anyone who witnesses it. The wait for the first sunshine to rise was easily overcome by the beautiful polar lights which will soon be gone without any traces.
Made with terragen v0.9 and applied Mattepainting-like techniques on it. Base rendering took about 6 hours, stocks for some texturing from sxc.hu and cgtextures.com
used wacom intuos3 a5 and photoshop for post processing
